Light on its feet, heavier on torque. Our Mustang EcoBoost recalibration brings the 2.3T on harder and more cleanly, with more deliberate throttle and torque delivery while keeping the balance that makes the four-cylinder Mustang work.
Engine and transmission
- 2.3, 10R80 (2018-2023): $600, or $1,200 with Custom OS
- 2.3, 6R80 (2015-2017): $600, or $1,200 with Custom OS
- 2.3, MT-82 (2015-2023): $400, or $1,000 with Custom OS
PCMTec software can adjust much more of the factory PCM than alternative software can. Every file is written for one car with longevity in mind. Acceleration and response improve, the car stays smooth and consistent in all conditions, and the factory safety systems and drivetrain protection keep working, whether it is driven every day or run at the strip.
Transmission
- Converter and clutch. Less unnecessary slip, so less friction and heat and more torque holding capacity. Power delivery feels more direct.
- Shifts. Faster, more predictable gear changes under load, with pressure curves profiled so light throttle stays smooth.
- Adaptive learning and KAM. Realigned for the higher torque, so the transmission keeps adapting correctly instead of mislearning.
- Torque truncation and spark cut. Recalibrated to protect clutches and shafts with as little interruption to acceleration as possible.
The recalibration starts at $400. The PCMTec Custom OS is $600 on top of it.
